polisci paper topicss
My polisci class has a 10-12 page research paper due in April and of course there are various due dates leading up to that 8| I need a topic by Wednesday.
The subject is a topic of current political controversy with impact on the US at a national level. No List topics are: Abortion, Death penalty, Gun control, Legalization of drugs/prostitution, Iraq, Gay marriage (only because it's currently in court).
Some discussion with sifrid led me to a couple of topics:

2) Gays in the military
The main issue is that I want to do something that I would be interested in writing about (ie, a topic I have serious opinions on, like feminist topics and gay rights, or a subject that's inherently interesting that I wouldn't mind reading up on), and I don't want to do something that like everyone else in the class is going to pick (like the recent court ruling on corporations, even though I do feel very strongly about that).
Do you guys have any suggestions?
