So my cat, who is missing his left eye, does this funny little thing where, if you pick him up so that he's against your chest with his head above your shoulder, he will always, always make sure he's on your right shoulder. If you put him on the left, he'll switch sides within seconds. Move him back, and he'll do it again ( Read more... )

You can train cats to enjoy such things. And make one yourself if you can't find one the right size.

I had a cat who was trained to come running like crazy whenever you jingled his kitty harness cause he LOVED going outside. If you combined the eyepatch wearing with an activity or attention of some form that the kitty REALLY ENJOYS then other than taking time for the cat to get used to it, eventually they'd be all for it.
