Day 20 - The "can't stand the sexual tension anymore" pairing?

Here they come. Mulder and Scully. I was saving them for this particular question. All my other ships got resolved at some point or another, but this? Can we call it resolved? I guess... even off screen though, they never really had a proper relationship until the 2nd film, there was just lots of isolated romantic episodes but never a relationship.

See, I don't agree. They didn't have 'sexual' tension. Not for a single second you would think omg look at her, she's undressing him with her eyes. Or, Jeez Mulder, kiss her already!
It wasn't like that. They had the deepest, most brutal love for each other, born out of trust alone. Not even friendship. They barely saw each other outside of work, and seldom touched at all. For the loooongest time it seemed like they couldn't stand each other. It was NOT sexual, c'mon.
They started going for the 'acutally, given the chance and enough wine, Scully would totally hit it' around Small Potatoes..and around Sixth Extinction they were like, meh, old news.
I'm actually almost glad we didn't have actual UST until later. :/
