"Think, think, think," said Pooh bear

Whenever I'm sitting down, ready to blog, I draw a complete blank. And all the other times when I'm thinking about blogging, I have this incredible story to say, but no access to a computer. Such is the irony ha-ha...

I'll apologize for being coy and air-headed. I'm in a blonde moment. The wedding in Winnipeg was short-lived. All we did was attend the reception/dinner after the wedding. Food was slowly dragged out throughout the evening and we left early to put D (and me) to bed. You see, I drove all evening and most of the morning to get to this wedding. I heard my father was so drunk he threw up in the bathroom. He's an obnoxious drunk, from what I saw. Wasted the following day to find cousins and people to visit, but none were to be found. So we did our own thing, visited the Manitoba Museum and Assiniboia Park. Oh, the air conditioning in my parents' van was busted. Didn't know it until the morning sun baked us nice and good on the drive to Winnipeg. We were either going to fix it, or buy a new van. I got it fixed at a Chrysler dealership that didn't suck. Really. They were actually nice to me. Wow. Also inquired about the Ford Freestar mini-van. I think it's important for my folks to get their next vehicle from the local Ford dealership in their town. Now that GM is in the shitter with some god-awful designs, I'm rethinking my bias against Ford. Chrysler, which has some pretty decent cars, will forever be haunted with the worst customer service experience evar.

This was my second big Chinese wedding I've been to. It's seems inordinary busy for such a simple event. dawnsinger and I agree that if we were to get married, it would be a simple paper ceremony, and maybe invite people over for supper. There will be no MC, clinking glasses, speeches or expensive table toys. P and JL had their names and the date engraved on all the chopsticks on the tables.

The drive back on Friday was long. I'm still feeling tired thinking about it. Dawnsinger was sick with a sore throat, which has turned into a viral infection today.

See - now I'm drawing a blank.

wedding, vacation
