I don't like saying that often, as it probably offends someone's religion, but, Holy Fuck, man.
I just watched the Blu-ray of The Police's Buenos Aires concert. Phenomenal! If I wasn't sold on Blu-ray before, I am now. I've seen Blu-ray movies and I can't say any one of them wowed me. This was my first disc to wow me. I can't accurately describe in words the clarity and the pop and the colours of the concert. Feasted on an ambrosia of lights and sounds that brought me back to the Commonwealth concert.
Some quick thoughts:
- I like this live version of Wrapped Around Your Fingers.
- I'm sad how Invisible Sun has taken a new relevance in these times.
- The band has cleaned up their act since the Commonwealth concert.
- I still love the punk anthem Synchronicity II.
- After seeing Steward Copeland in concert, I began to appreciate his work more.
Apparently, I need to post this now. Someone needs to mock me for my choice in a musical god.
