Say something, dammit!
Perhaps its become something of a chore to update my LJ. Like email, it was highly used and abused early on, but then the sparkle dies and I use it less and less. Or maybe I'm a big, fat, lazy-ass turd.
Something must be in the air at work. Some of us are feeling the malaise. One complained about the Christmas music and the station was changed. One left work sick midday. Most were listless, myself included. I spent the morning tracking down a bug for a customer, but I never found out why it was doing what it was doing. It was only when a senior programmer decided to look at the code itself that we found that the letter "M" in the 14th position of a string field would bend the customer's data over and rape it to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars. Nice. This found bug contributed to a better afternoon. My late 2 PM lunch was spent at Chapters reading books. Picked up a 17" monitor for $20. Shopping always makes me feel better.
