When I cast my vote for Michael Nutter at around 4 o'clock yesterday, I was still pretty skeptical about his chances, despite a few polls showing him in the lead. I had always figured he was too much of an egghead to win a citywide primary. Well I was wrong. He was by far the most progressive candidate in the election, with a plan for greening this city and, most importantly, the only candidate who seemed to truly understand the depth and seriousness of the crime problem in Philadelphia. So congratulations dude, all you have to do is wax the Republican patsy in November and you're the next mayor of Philadelphia.
