Ok sorry to post like three times in one day after not posting for half a year, but this is just too goddamned funny. There is a Upenn newspaper story about the LOL cats phenomenon, and the intrepid reporter went out in the campus for some man-on-the-street wisdom. And here is what our Man in Havana has discerned from icanhascheeseburger.com:
"I never thought cats were particularly interesting until I saw them with captions with poor grammar," College junior Michael Murphy said."If they don't have poor grammar, it's an ironic reference to the factthat [the] cat is speaking well."
And that is precisely why things like LOLcats exist.
