Custom Firefly Mood Theme
remember how i said i was resigning from the firefly fandom?
well, then i found periwig. then i proceeded to drool all over my keyboard. there are tons of images (not just FF), all very simple and classic, and exquisite.
so i get this bright idea to use these pix to finally take advantage of the paid account feature of custom mood themes. so i ganked 'em and uploaded 'em (viewable to the public in my photo gallery). all but four of the images in that folder were created by ladymargaret, the owner of periwig. the last four were graciously screencapped by bowenkge for me, and then i cropped and poked 'em in photoshop. c'mon, "curious" NEEDED to be River asking "who do you think is in there?" and "guilty" must be mal walking out of nandi's room. and what is a collection of firefly images without one pic of zoe and wash getting all hot and steamy?!
behold! my Firefly Mood Theme, with awesome icon pix by the wonderful ladymargaret of periwig! ... i'm still waiting to hear from her, to make sure she's cool with it, but hopefully it'll be ok. especially once she sees how awesomely i utilized the pix, combining not only the expressiveness of the characters and the wonderful artistry of the icon, but also the contextual themes of the show. example: "full" = pic of kaylee from "Out of Gas" in the scene where Mal offers her a job as mechanic. heh. full. get it? BAD PUN! but funny, if you know what to look for. :)
anyway, if you want one of her icons, please PLEASE go to her comm and find it there, then leave her a note telling her that you're ganking, and for the love of all the goddesses and gods, CREDIT. all of her pix in my gallery are labeled clearly, too, so there should be no confusion.
you may now begin to tell me how cool i am. and how dorky. and, of course, you may tell me that you knew it was only a matter of time before i came crawling back to the fandom. maybe i'll even have another go at the River/Badger fic. who knows! i'm feeling wacky. ooooooooooh which mood to choose?!?!
