an update
so my mom and her new boyfriend, of whom she's only known 3 months max, show up while i'm working on sunday the 28th of sept. it's the first time i've met him, so it's cool, i guess. next thing i know, they tell me they're engaged.
on friday i get a call from my mom letting me know they're headed for hawaii this upcoming saturday so she can meet his folks, and are more than likely going to have their ceremony while they're there.
today i get the official, "yes, we are eloping" statement, despite all my efforts to convince her she's being hypocritical, jouvenile, ignoring that a second wedding with two separate families should encorporate both families, as it is they're joining, and that they're going way too fast.
so, to sum up, i will have a step father in less than 2 weeks....who i met only a week ago, today. i will have 4 more siblings, all of whom live in utah with their mother/go to school there....and currently 2 of my siblings have no idea they're eloping yet.
