Daily Rune Draw Catch Up

Feb 02, 2010 09:44

I've been keeping up with my draws, but not the posting piece.

Here are the last 3 I drew:

Question: What past influences are affecting camp?

Rune: Eihwaz or yew tree, the world tree. Strength, strong foundation, support.

Meaning: I see this as reinforcing Othalo. I'm taking to mean that this camp is strongly supported by and rooted in it's heritage.

Question: What present influences are affecting camp?

Rune: Berkano or Birch. Beauty, new growth, fertility.

Meaning: I talked a bit about sacred journey or pilgrimage with my last draw for present. I think that this trip will be a blessing that fosters new life and beauty in my practice.

Question: What future influence will come out of camp?

Rune: Eihwaz again!

Meaning: If I connected Eiwaz to roots and history, then I will connect this to the branches reaching forward. Reading Eihwaz from past to present, I see this as a strong connection cutting across through time. The Norse have a cyclical concept of time and seeing Eihwaz in past and future seems to emphasis the mystery of time and the linkages between past and future. Perhaps I will come out of this with new insight into old personal work. Or perhaps, this is a reminder that there are certain things that have come up again and again for me in the past will do so again in the future. Hello again patterns!

Connecting this with Thorn, I will say that the branches of my future may have it's sharp edges and be a little aggressive, but it will be strong and vital.
