Jersey continues to be awesome. I spent the weekend mostly at home, which for those who don't know me is kinda weird. Not all the time at home though! Just, you know, most. I figured out that the old trick with the blocks and the boards really isn't working now that I have several hundred DVDs -

Shut up. You would too if your little sister was in at least some of them. Crowd scenes and stuff. She's an extra... okay, I'm a freak. :-)

So anyway, I have achieved shelves. And they look awesome. The hard part was matching them to the rest of the apartment, because I can't have plain shelves when the rest of my furniture's pretty much come from import stores and stuff. 'Cause that stuff looks cool! Anyway, shelves that look awesome.

I also called folks! Shelly in LA to tell her about the shelves, and blame the need for them on her; she laughed at me - normal reaction - and we chatted about stage stuff. Because we can, and stage is a hobby for both of us, hah. Though I of course can't act for beans. Grace and Mom and Dad in Arizona... Grace said hi and didn't stay on the phone long (she's the sensible one, you know, and she's got kids and stuff), Dad railed about faucets and do-it-yourselfers for a while (it's funny when plumbers are monomaniacal), and Mom wanted to take a headcount of my friends and evaluate their future possibilities. Or something. I stopped listening, there was a neat bird outside my window! I'll probably email her an incomprehensible flowchart or something. I promised Joe (high school friend - love him to pieces!) I'd call and chat with him while he's driving (he's a trucker!) so I did. Mostly he described the landscape and we wondered at the amount of corn. And Nicky (from third grade) needed to de-stress about calculus finals - poor guy, not having an easy time of college AT ALL - not built for it I think but he's trying very hard and we both think he passed this time so yay!

So let's see... I think I'll keep going to both the Tuesday and Saturday classes at the academy, 'cause I went on Saturday and liked the people there too. Also! I was at the hospital on Saturday and Sunday for a few hours each, ha! I wasn't working, though, I holed up in the library and read things. Endo things! Glands are fascinating.

And today's Monday! I love Mondays. Start of a whole new week and stuff. I think I'm starting a turn in the ER... not sure though, I'll have to check. Memory = like a sieve sometimes.

How is everyone else?
