Long Awaited Update
So it's been quite some time since I've used this thing... or journaled at, for that matter.
I've been dong alright. Since i've journaled last (i think), I've graduated from Texas State, commissioned in the U.S. Air Force, been to Maxwell AFB for ASBC, moved to Vandenberg AFB (Lompoc, California) for Space and Missiles Training, been waiting for my training date (August) in the 4th Space Lift Squadron, and have been enthusiasticaly fleeing to the beach at every opportunity. I've also been carving up the twisty roads of the California coast as often as possible. Basically, I've been playing as much as possible and enjoying the ole' paycheck until the real work starts. It's cold, but I'm having as much fun as I can stand. Unfortunately, most of my time is spent alone. Not too many folks enjoy the same activities as I do, and there's a serious lack of friends to speak-of. But I'm doing ok; I've been surviving.
Maybe I'll start this thing back up. I feel that I'm losing my ability to assemble words, so I believe this might help.
Brief updates:
My computer crashed
I am rooming with Brian Myers
I miss Texas and it's wonderful warmth of friendliness and temperature
Crystal Flowers and I are still dating
I miss my friends
California is COLD (the high today was around 65 with a 30+mph wind)
The Pacific Ocean is COLD (Wetsuit required!)
I've begun surfing again
I've gotten a lot better at skimboarding
I've enjoyed camping by myself (Goleta/Santa Barbara, where it's a little warmer)
I've learned that consistant fog and coulds are depressing
Buster the dog-like cat is awesome
Grilling isn't quite as much fun by yourself (but I do it anyway)
Lompoc Four Square Church is way cool
The Lompoc Skatepark does not allow bikes (but I do it anyway)
I suck at skateboarding
and Air Force Space Command is very civilian-like.
Well, I believe that's all for tonight. I must get to work tomorrow.
