cats, dogs & chickens
On the mainland you'll run across stray dogs and cats and other random animals all the time, the occasional possum in your trash. Here though, I have not seen any wandering animals anywhere, except for chickens. That's right chickens, they just wander around. I have two that apparently like the area outside my apartment, one big white fluffy looking one, and the other kinda scrappy looking. Subtle differences that not many people would probably notice.
