On Shuttle Launches, and the Viewing Thereof

So after dinner tonight, the topic of space shuttle launches came up, when I mentioned something else about a trip I'd taken to see one. This prompted some discussion of possibly seeing another one, which prompted some refresher googleing tonight ( Read more... )

You know, it had never occurred to me to do something like that...but it sounds fun!

I am planning on taking a trip in either Jan or Feb 2010, but no plans made yet. I'll have to ponder my goals for said trip - so please, keep me posted!

It was a lot of fun. Even with the pace of driving we had to keep at times, we managed to get a lot of random stuff in. Rather than rattle off a list of places we visited, perhaps I'll write a long overdue entry on it.

Will definitely keep you posted.

So get yerself a passport now! You've got 6 weeks, should be enough time...

I had been meaning to make that point myself, you've more than enough time judging from the passport Canada site. 2 weeks for processing if you drop off the form in person.

As for Seb, I really have to talk to him and see if he may be able to go to this one. I know we've talked before about the idea and he's quite interested in getting to a launch.

If you want I could probably send you some info about costs from my previous trip, or maybe I'll make a post about it.
