Really? It's okay? I'm glad because honestly I think this might be my favorite story of mine! I don't know why, it's like it just came to me so easily and completely... I don't think I ever had a story birthed like that before.

As for Jack... I really don't know he never entered Will's mind during this moment in time. I'd say with only one day he puts all his focus on her. Since he didn't think about Jack I didn't either.

I think if Jack has passed on, it was quite awhile ago, and he has drifted to a very distant but fond memory. I think sometimes, especially when Elizabeth is in the world and he knows it, he focuses very intently on her. I think that when she is not he sometimes forgets completely his old life for long stretches of time. :( That's really sad, but that's what my heart is telling me for this particular fic. I know that when he does think of Jack he laughs.

I just can't reconcile Jack, darn Will for not telling me anything about Jack! Instead he tells me about farther into the future where humans have all passed beyond life and he is left forever with no one to ferry captaining an empty ship on a dead sea waiting for the day he can walk upon dead land for a day. "Forever is a bloody long time," he says.

And that is so sad, I don't want to write that story!

Lord, that last one's a sad thought. I suppose in that case, he could locate and stab his own heart, and be done with the job, maybe?

I thought that too! Except he can't really stab his own heart! he'd just have to take his own place. Plus, I wonder if when the heart is stabbed would he die as in go to the after life? Or would he just cease to be?
