What: Tsurugi gets a shiny new Servant; Grell finally gets a Master.

Tsurugi hadn't exactly been surprised when Yaguruma had been killed, but it had been a shame - both because it was a setback and because she'd rather liked him. Still, she was alive, and she had her Command Seals, and as long as she had that she could make another pact. Some small part of her reminded her that she'd made no progress, that she had no reason to believe her second attempt would be any more successful than her first, that she should get out now while at least she was still alive and seek sanctuary at the church. But she thought of her parents, of all the other magi who'd ever made fun of her or looked at her pityingly because the poor girl just couldn't help being a failure or decided that she wasn't worth their time, and decided that giving up was not an option.
So here she was again, standing in her untidy room in the dark of an early winter morning, reciting the summoning spell again over another chalk circle. This time as she spoke the final words she kept her eyes open, stood up straighter, set her mouth in a firm line. If nothing else, she'd make a better impression this time.
