Pokey walked along the darkened streets, apparently alone; there were few lights on, even fewer people out and about at this time of night, but he did not appear worried. He was dressed very finely for such a late hour, in a red suit, though his hair was tousled as though he'd just gotten out of bed.

His eyes scanned the shadows. "See anything?" He asked to the empty air next to him. "Is it close?"

Although invisible to the naked eye, Gyiyg floated alongside its so-called Master. Yes. We are drawing ever-nearer to it, it sent to Pokey as a telepathic message, concentrating intently. This district was far less crowded than most in this town; people were not so tightly-packed together, allowing for spaces in between buildings. We are moving within range of its senses. I advise you to be careful. Would this area suffice for battle?

He should not have come here. Stubborn child.

Pokey surveyed the area. "It looks good." He tells it, nodding. "Do what you need to do to get ready. I'll find some place to hide." The enemy Servant would be drawing ever closer.

He turned and began searching for a suitable hiding place; he would emerge only if necessary to help Gyiyg fight. There was an alley nearby, with a dumpster. Perfect. Pokey ducked into the alley, then crouched in the shadows at the far end of the dumpster, peering out to see what would happen.

His heart was racing in his chest. Blood roared in his ears. He was scared. This was his first battle of the Grail Wars; it was both terrifying and yet exhilarating!

At that, Gyiyg materialized; it hovered about a foot off the ground, waiting. It visualized a place where every object would do its bidding. Creating this area, at the moment, would prove unwise. Yet perhaps it could influence the battlefield...the enemy was nearby, it could sense it....

The streetlights dimmed, objects springing into existence; all manner of toys, ropes, mugs, clocks, even a car. Yet its mind never quite left the area around it. If any human drew near, it would know.
