winthrop
dear journal,
worked 12 hours today. half of it spent making badges, and driving boxes of supplies to a hotel. i got asked to be a part of a team that is going to represent the zumiez dc at a manager's retreat in winthrop. it was kind of a last minute deal, since the spot had already been filled, but sadly- the guy's grandfather passed away and so he decided it not be best for him to go.
i am helping set up the event (hence the 12 hour day) and i'm probably going to have hectic hours the rest of this week. we leave on sunday and come back thursday night. my "work" schedule for the retreat is 6am til 10:30 every night. this shit is going to be craaazy.
but everyone says its fun and def a good experience. im just stoked for all the OT and being able to work outside of the DC for once, plus meeting all the store managers from around the nation will be interesting.
tomorrow, i get to chill at the embassy suite (sp?) off alderwood mall way and greet all the store managers flying in. that place is soo majestic, and zumiez rented out every room for the weekend.
oh, and private label (empyre) is having a fashion show this saturday. and since i fit their jeans and tops they asked me to be a part of it. i said sure, but i know im not exactly the boy with the best posture or facial features so its gonna kinda suck. but im hoping i get some clothes out of it. plus ill have some friends there modeling too who dont know shit about "cat-walks" either. haha.
all in all this week is going to suck and rule at the same time. no sleep, hella hectic work, but plenty of social networking ;]
