Book Signing
Tonight I am going to a book signing at Schuler Books on Alpine at 7pm. Jacqueline Carey is signing her new book Banewreaker. Jacqueline Carey is the exceptional New York Times Bestselling author of Kushiel’s Dart. She lives in West Michigan and I am a huge fan of her fantasy books.
Her first series Kushiel’s Dart, Kushiel’s Chosen, and Kushiel’s Avatar follows the life of the Courtesan Phedre who was chosen by the god Kushiel. It is set in an alternate fantasy setting of Europe and is written in the first person (which I enjoy more than any other narrative voice). It is a fascinating series, although I am only on the second book, and I am eager to meet Ms. Carey and listen to her talk about writing and her motivations for her books.
