Laughlin!?!
It's time for a summer roadtrip! I'll be leaving for beautiful Laughlin, Nevada on August 17, and staying for three nights. Laughlin's main draws are Vegas style casinos (but with greatly reduced prices and table limits) and the Colorado River, fun for boating, jet skiing, and other water activities.
Will you join me?
There are no set plans for activities or events - as there are more RSVPs, we'll make dinner plans/daytime get-togethers. I have a tournament to play in, but that won't be all day any of the days. I do plan on enjoying food and drink, gambling, and relaxing on a boat if others chip in to get one.
The tone of the trip will be determined by those who attend - I'm open to just about everything.
Rooms in Laughlin run about $50/night for the "strip" hotels (all on the riverside), and there are hotels in nearby Bullhead City, AZ that are likely in the $30-$40 range.
While I'm leaving Friday morning, I'll be there the whole weekend, so feel free to come any time during the weekend. It'll be hot, but that's what pools and rivers are for. Distance is about the same as to Vegas. Road trip caravan plans will follow for those interested.
