You know, I really wish that people didn't know so much about my sex life, not because I'm at all ashamed of it, but because I find it awkward and I don't want people to think of me like that ( Read more... )

I hope for that too, Martha. It would be nice to be able to relax for once.

And I like you. I don't have a lot of real friends here--people I can always trust--but you're one of them.

It would be, as much as we can relax here.

I like you too. And I trust you, and I worry about you.

Also I really like the purple hair. Your conversation with Sev made me consider dyeing my whole head purple, but I expect it would only make my issues worse.

You don't need to worry about me--I'm doing all right. [Mostly. Ish. Except kind of not.]

Thank you--I like it, too. And I'm happy to dye it for you--I can get the temporary stuff for you. Like that time we did pink. That was fun.

I want to believe you, but I don't, but I'll try to give you a bit of space for a while.

It was fun. Remember when we did green? He liked the green. It actually helped us a lot when I showed up like that after my hen night.

That was a rough week. I thought our marriage was to be over almost before it began.

[It is almost three in the morning, what are you still doing up, lady? :|]

[Wry smile.] Would I lie about that?

I remember the green--and we can definitely do that again if it will be better on your marriage than the pink. It looked good on you.

Of course you would. I lie about being fine often. It makes people believe that I'm calm and that nothing ever bothers me.

Thank you. I think it looked good on me too, even if it made people respect me less as a doctor. Right now, however, I don't believe that matters because the people who don't respect me aren't going to respect me what I do anyway.

...Sometimes, I think you know me way too well. You know you can always talk to me if something's bothering you, though, right?

Pfft. I don't think the color of your hair has anything to do with what kind of a doctor you are. If people don't like it? Screw them.

I know, but I often feel like people won't be my friends anymore if I don't put up a good facade or if I tell them how bad I'm really doing they'll think less of me. So I probably won't but I'll really want too.

Oh, they'll find something to complain about me about. They always do.

You're allowed to be not okay sometimes. Your real friends would want to help you through it. I know I would.

Yeah, well, the people around here seem to like to bitch, don't they?

And they certainly do.
