So, the time has finally come. The inevitable has arrived. The unstoppable has been... not... stopped.

For years I've been threatening to go to California. With the time constraints that inhibit most everything about my life and the financial woes that accompany them, I just kinda assumed it would never happen. Though I did keep saying it would anyway. For once, I'm actually following through though. I've got the money, I've got the time, a place to stay and people to see. I've even got someone willing to cook for me and a friend at a comic shop to hook me up when new books come out. It's like... all the pieces are falling into place.

There's really only one thing to worry about.
I'm going to Los Angeles.
Which, as far as I can tell from everyone who's been there, is the antithesis of everything that I stand for. Not one, not two, but THREE people thus far have told me that even the meager seven days I'm spending will most likely change me.
Now, I wouldn't go that far. I've barely managed to change a t-shirt in the last decade, I'm not to worried about it. However, I gotta say: L.A., look out. 'Cause just maybe I'll change you.

The first week of March is when it all goes down. I leave one saturday, and come back on another.
I purchase tickets tomorrow.

Wish me luck.

....on another note, my sister came back from Kenya today, thankfully before the current situation there grew to the point where she was stabbed to death merely for being a Westerner. So I'm in pretty good spirits.
