im an old man
It is amazing how there are certain things we look foward to. For many years I could not wait until I was 21, being able to drink legally. Trust me, its fun, the bars are great and allows me to go places I could never go before.
And then, theres the other part. I am entering the last month and half of my junior year of college. This means next year, im a dreaded dreaded senior. I seriously feel like an old man. Why do you ask? I keep getting hired for H.S. musical shows and I remember all those days of playin music in H.S. and doing the shows and all the drama. As much as it was a pain back then, I wouldnt trade it.
Now, 3 years into college, im finding myself lost. I will be working a full time job very soon, people I know (or know of) are getting engaged. Its like I remember the days when it was cool to gossip in intermediate school about who made out with who, and which girl was hot.
Life is just like school. Just when you get used to a particular place, and time.....and you are the master of the domain, its time to move on. I have almost mastered this college thing and before you know it, it will be over. My main message to all is to enjoy the moment cause the time is flying.
Being 21 is fun, but I would love to go back to being 16, when being idiotic and irresponsible was the absolute norm.
And there, I feel like an old man. in my view, 10 years ago, I was 11 years old, but in 10 years ill be 31. I dono bout you, but scares the shit out of me........
