chillisoupppppppp?? I pulled apart Dallas's old Unwired Modem in search of a hidden USB output jack. Alas there was none to be found. Appears to be a Problem with my ethernet card. I sorta gave it a good ripping apart but its only the case that's cruded up. Very much contemplating getting a USB modem

actually the point is, most adsl modems fire data packets at your computer much larger than the usb port can handle, you get dropped packets, and of course this doesn't register on your modem as it has technically recieved them, but your computer knows nothing of the sort.

pffft, we'll sort it out, nothing like a good challenge that can easily be fixed by going to the shop and buying a new one if it turns out too hard! :)
