"And curl it," Venia added wisely. "Many, many tiny curls. You'd be just beautiful! Oh, think -- the sister of Katniss Everdeen. You'd be a celebrity if they let you come and we could make you over!"
"She'll stay in District Twelve with her mother," Cinna said a little firmly, pulling a green sweater from the trunk and holding it up appraisingly against Katniss's coloring.
"She doesn't have to," Flavius pointed out, as Katniss fidgeted. "Katniss'll be going to the Capitol soon enough, for the Games! She could bring her lovely sister along with Peeta!"
"Your sister will be very busy," Cinna agreed. "It will be--" he rejected both 'easier' and 'safer' as terms to use, "--better to stay at home, I think."
Katniss glanced at the trunk, then back at Cinna. "...when am I leaving?" she asked, even quieter. Prim reached out to take her hand, and Katniss felt like she knew the answer, just from that.
