Room 205 [evening]

Tonight, Katniss was doing a little bit of organization. She'd been in the woods today, and collected more herbs, berries, and small plants as samples. She'd exercised a bit of the tension in her muscles by shooting a few ducks, roasting and skinning them before bundling up the remaining meat. It was currently hidden in her small pack, under her bed. She would share with Madison if the other girl noticed, but for the time being, it comforted Katniss to know that there was food stored in her room, and that her hunting -- not her archery, as that had been used -- skills had been stretched a little in the last week. It made her, suddenly, feel more at home, here in Fandom.

Now, though, she was sitting on the floor of the room, painstakingly matching leaf shape to diagrams she'd copied from her mother's book. So far, few were matching, and those were set aside to dry and send home, if she was able.
