Doot doot.
I have to say, the commercials where there is personified food getting eaten kinda creep me out. Like the goldfish and Chips O'Hoy commercials, where the fish swim around and interact, and so do the cookies. Then they get eaten. Quite disturbing.
Anyway! I'm enjoying my break so very much already. I'm working 8a-5p at the office job, which hasn't been too bad so far. I'm learning how to do the service part of the office, which is a little blah, but needful. Though I got the first smirch on my reputation last week. When the service chick called out, everyone just frikkin' freaked out. So she wound up emailing me, and we continued to do so through the day, and we mentioned how everyone was freakin' out that she was gone and everything was kinda falling apart. Well, after I left, my supervisor apparently opened my email and found those messages, and took it to the big boss. I got called in the next day and a talking to from both of them, about how they didn't want to have this kind of goings-on in the work place and they'd been through this before and if I don't like my co-workers, I should quit. Though they firmly said they didn't want me to go, and said I should just steer clear from these kinds of situations in the future. Which, overall, seemed like an over-reaction in and of itself. We didn't say anything specifically bad, just that people seemed to be over-reacting for nothing. But whatever. It hasn't really affected anything since, so we'll just keep going.
My goal to read a book a day has not been met yet. It doesn't help that I spent $148 at B&N on Sunday, the last day of employee appreciation. Eek. But now I have so many lovely books to read, and I'm rather excited about sitting down and reading! And it's so nice to just have the one job to do every day, then I get to come home. I was right, too; due to the time I get off from the office job now, by the time I get home, the parking spaces are pretty open. Whoo hoo.
Haven't done the walk through of the new place, I think mostly because of the snow since the landlord lives up in Truckee. But he called me yesterday and we're going to try to do it sometime this week. I got some boxes from work and am going to start moving stuff over when I get the key. Whoo hoo!
Still planning to housesit for Heather next week, over Christmas. Gonna be for like four days, Wednesday night to Sunday morning. Not really looking forward to it, but I'll get to do laundry there, so that's good. And she's going to take me food shopping for what I want stocked in their kitchen while I'm there, yay. So not a big deal.
Oh my, well, probably the biggest thing going on at the moment is a new collab with my whelp. And yes, it is based on Alice. Naturally. I got her as addicted to it as I am and it just spiraled from there. So much fun! I do love my Hatter. And it's so much fun finding Wonderlanders, 'cause the picture selection is very wide, haha.
Doot doot. Love me some Simpsons. Especially with Taco Bell. Mmmhmmm.
