I tell you- after this past week, I will hate to leave this great nation. Hurricane katrina really brought out the great nature of americans.
I watched larry king almost every night and I loved listening to reverend jesse jackson and the democrat from maryland, among others, state the obvious: the bush and the whole bush administration hates black people. Oh yeah- and kanye west adding to that. I mean, it is SO obvious that bush hates black people... I don’t know why people are just NOW realizing that. I mean, did you SEE how long it took for him to want to help those black people down in new orleans?! I mean, those two days were enough to show the world his bigotry and racism. And, when he went down there, did you see how he hugged those women in mississippi that were creole? And that he actually talked to mayor nagin? I can’t believe he brought himself to that.
I tell you, I’m just glad that our constitution doesn’t allow any states’ rights. If the constitution had carelessly allowed for states’ rights then we MIGHT actually work on a trickle-up system of government where the local government is in charge until they ask for help from the state government and until the state government asks for help from the federal government. I’m glad the federal government has vast omnipotence. I wouldn’t want mayor nagin to actually accept any blame in this matter. His yelling about our federal government, getting victims fired up and hostile, is like music to my ears......
I LOVE the blame game. It’s my favorite. I should play with the mayor sometime.
However, after the excitement about the prospect of playing the blame game, I have to say that I just hate that the governments of alabama and mississippi misinterpreted the constitution and worked on that silly trickle-up system. Nevermind that they are faring a lot better than louisiana. Nevermind that they don’t have major cities built below sea level. It’s just because they have republicans for governors as opposed to the democratic governor blanco for louisiana..... at least, that’s according to a reporter for aaron brown on cnn.
I still think it’s because those governors CLEARLY don’t understand our constitution and the government behind it. You know, all those republicans are stupid. I can’t believe they can’t be as smart as those genius democrats.
And THANK GOD for institutions like the american red cross and second harvest.... otherwise, these people would be dead. The federal government is no where to be found.
SHHHHH!!!! Don’t tell the victims that bush has already received a $10 billion grant for them and is asking for $50 billion more. They might get the wrong idea and think that bush actually likes them.
I think it’s fantastic that there are reporters out there that don’t correct these victims that have no idea who is behind the help. We don’t want them to actually THINK that the government is behind it all. We want them to hate our president and government as much as we do. Please- why should we like a government that has rescued civilians, ordered shelter for victims, given aid, and received billions of dollars to help rebuild their homes? I wouldn’t like them either.
I tell you though, bush has some audacity. To think that he has been down to ground zero a couple of times while he intermittently goes back to DC to try and lower our gas prices, pick a new supreme court chief justice, go to the funeral for chief justice rehnquist, continue to fight terrorism, and run the most powerful country in the world. I mean, those two times don’t mean squat. He should be down there 24/7. He should forget about trying to run a country. Oh wait- we can criticize him for that too. Darn it. That’s right- you can ALWAYS find fault with president bush. He leaves himself wide open as a republican president. Stupid, stupid man.
I love our segregated country. I love all the complaining. I love the selfishness. I love the tapeworm personalities of the american people. I would HATE to live in a country where people actually understood things and got along with a person of a different skin hue. Life would be SO boring if half the people in the country didn’t have a HUGE chip on their shoulder like they do here in america and proved in the recent events with hurricane katrina.
I understand that it is totally frustrating to be without your home, without your family, without anything.... obviously, not personally, but I can fathom it. What I cannot fathom, however, is how reporters and other people can encourage that frustration and lead people to believe that the government does not care about them. When you have nothing and are assured that you will receive no help, it will cause drastic measures. So thank you- I’m glad that babies were raped in the superdome. That gangs broke out and tried to kill people. That police officers were killed. That volunteers were taken hostage.
Bush did all that wreckage himself. With his own two hands.
Because he doesn’t give a damn about black people.
Wait a minute...... then why are white people suffering too? That can’t be right.........
Uhoh- another flaw with bush. Let’s exploit it.
I love to defame our president.
It really will be a shame to leave all this bullshit.
That’s all it is: bullshit. When we need to focus on helping out these victims, we are criticizing bush for something else that he did or should have done or didn’t do.
I swear, I am going to scream if I hear one more negative thing about bush and how this rescue effort is race-based.
michael moore is having field-day, i know. i can't WAIT to see his hurricane katrina documentary. hopefully, he won't release it until i get back.
yay.
