My first day of 2009.
1.) I slept in again. I am terrible. I don't know how I'm going to wake up ridiculously early on Sunday with my schedule all thrown off. However, I think the thought of sharing oxygen with Lin-Manuel Miranda for the third time may quicken the arising. Just a hunch.
2.) I went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button today. Okay, I'm not going to go on and on about it because it's not like it's this unheard of indie film I've just discovered. You've all heard about it. But I did totally and completely love it. Masterpiece. And Brad Pitt. Oh, Brad Pitt. But yes. I even treated myself to an icon. See above!
3.) The Rugrats Movie was on! The one that's like circa 1998. Ohmigod you guys. Nostalgia. I even watched like ten minutes of it. I have this very vague, very fuzzy memory of watching it when I was a kid with Neek and Tiffany at Donna's. It makes me glad I'm still close to Neek after all these years. I haven't seen Tiffany or Donna since my grandmother died.
4.) Today I wore the pink heels that I bought myself for Christmas for the first time! Ah. They're cute.
5.) Amanda posted all the pictures from our lovely New Year's Eve on MySpace. I'm pretty adorable. There are even some of my lovely Sharpie-covered bedroom wall. See below.
6.) I still have work to do before Sunday...Sunday which is rapidly approaching. If I haven't started by 8:30 I am doomed. So terribly doomed.
7.) I got 9 Happy New Year texts. Yes, I'm quite petty and competitive to count. But it puts a smile on my face to feel loved.
8.) My family is as dysfunctional as ever. So much for 2009 improvement. That's fine. I'll be the one to improve. That's okay.
9.) Aww. The chorus girls are starting to find me on MySpace. They are so adorable. They make me feel like a rolemodel. That's pretty new for me.
