Catholicism: One of the World's Oldest Fandoms
I've been having a lot of fun over in sages_of_chaos lately. Bonus points to anyone other than my sweetie who figures out who I am there, by the by.
But here is the point: in the rules of the community, they clearly state you're allowed to play other real-life people. Including the Pope. So sweetie and I were contemplating Catholicism as Fandom. I say, it works. There are elaborate costumes, all sorts of clubs to join, rivalries with other similar fandoms, and chicks who want to marry the dead guy with a martyr complex who wear black and keep pictures of him nearby always.
(I mean no offense by this, I swear it! If you like, tomorrow I'll mock Pagans to make up for this.)
(Yes, I know I'm going to Hell. They have luau on Tuesdays, and the best weiner-and-marshmellow roasts ever.)
