You Are In a Good Mood

Today, you're feeling pretty together and happy.

While not everything is going you're way, you're keeping things in perspective.

And it seems like things are looking up for you!

What Mood Are You In?

And now, Friday memes:

From Friday Forum:
1) Do you enjoy cooking? Why/why not? How about baking? Do you do most
of the cooking in your household, or does someone else? How often do
you go out to eat (or order in) in a typical week?
Yes. I enjoy both cooking and baking. I'm not entirely sure why, it's not something I can really put into words. I just enjoy it, even if it is tiring and stressful. I do most of the real cooking, but I leave frozen meals to my sweetie. We rarely to out to eat or order in, perhaps once a month.

2) Do you have any dishes (or desserts, or beverages, or whatever)
that you consider your "specialty"? Did you create the recipe
yourself, from scratch? How often do you make this dish?
I make realy good roast beef, and my teriaki sauce is good too. Both are variations on other recipies, but with enough changes to be pretty much entirely new. I like to make both regularly, but all cooking is on hold until I get my new stove.

3) Have you ever taken any cooking classes? If not, what type(s) of
cooking class would you most like to take? Do you ever watch the Food
TV Network? What are your favorite shows on there?
I took Home Ec in junior high, but I could already cook quite well by then. My father taught me. I'd like to take a class in Asian cooking. I watch the Food Network nearly every day. I love Iron Chef (NOT the stupid American version), and Good Eats.

4) What's something quick and easy that you like to just throw
together when you aren't in a cooking mood at all? Are there any foods
that you've been absolutely dying to try lately? Do you have any new
(and yummy) food discoveries/combinations to share with us?
I like to make sirloin tips with couscous. It's quite fast. I've been dying to try flannelbutch's pomegranate chicken recipe. I love beef with apple. Apples, when baked plain, get sweet and a little tart. I often make an apple and onion mix to put on steaks.

5) What is your favorite kitchen appliance? Is your kitchen generally
well stocked with equipment? Describe your kitchen to us ~ what it
looks like, what's on the counters, etc.
My favorite appliance? Hmm. My stove. Followed by my spice grinder. I'm not well-stocked in the equipment department, but I'm working on it. The kitchen right now is an utter mess. It's small and square-ish. The floor is white tile, the walls are green. The cabinets are a light wood, and the countertops are a mauve-ish color.

From fridayfiver
1. Do you own a camera? Describe it:
No camera for me, sadly.

2. Do you prefer digital or film?
BOth have their benefits, but I'd have to say digital.

3. When is the last time you posed for a picture?
Christmas.

4. Tell us about your favorite photograph:
It's a picture of my sweetie when he was young. He's wearing a sweater and smiling so cute.

5. Use the flash or flash the camera?
I use the flash, when appropriate.

From Friday's Feast:
Appetizer - Name something that makes you scream.
Doctors with big needles.

Soup - Who is a musician you enjoy listening to when you want to relax?
I don't listen to music to relax, usually.

Salad - What was the last book you purchased?
Exiles volume 3

Main Course - If you could live one day as any historical figure, who would it be, and what would you do?
Hitler, just before he took power. I'd commit suicide.

Dessert - Tell about a time when you were lost. Where did you end up? How long did it take you to get back to where you were going?
I don't really get lost much. I suppose the last time was when I first started driving. I took a wrong turn and ended up at a summer camp. It took me about 1 hour, round trip, to get things sorted out.
