My journal has been dormant for long enough. I have been doing the job search thing lately, to no avail. But this week has been amazing; I saw two of my new favorite movies. The first was "We Don't Live Here Anymore". It stars Naomi Watts and Laura Dern (both of whom I find attractive), Peter Krause (Nate form Six Feet Under) and Mark Ruffalo. It is about two couples who are all best friends, until Watts and Ruffalo begin an affair behind the backs of their spouses. It is akin to "Closer", in that none of these people (maybe with the exception of Dern) are particularly likeable, and that it just feels so real. The other movie is "Before Sunset", the sequel to 1995's "Before Sunrise" starring Etan Hawke and Julie Delpy. It is about two people who had an affair nine years ago in Vienna and then promised to meet six months later...and didn't. THey meet up nine years later. The whole movie takes place in real time (like "24") and they have approximately an hour to decide what to do. It is such a wonderful movie- their physical interaction as well as their conversation is brillaint and poignant. I feel in love with it. Anyway, enough with the movie review. Later ya'll.
