Introductory Post
Hey y'all! Thanks for taking an interest in my rambling. You certainly didn't have to, but I appreciate it all the same. :D
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you a little about what you're going to find in this journal. Basically, this is here so I can get things straight in my head; it just generally helps a lot if I can have a place to put things in order, and then hopefully the chapters will turn out a bit better. Here's what I'll probably be doing a lot:
- Setting info that may or may not make it into the story. That would be things like a breakdown of some of the more important things about Myrrh and Carmine (politics, economics, religion, climate, things along that vein), some descriptions of neighboring countries that show up in the text oftenish (mainly Merin and Ravilia), layouts of important settings... things like that. It helps me keep everything in mind, too.
- Character babble. I do a hell of a lot of that. I'll also probably talk about the various relationships a little bit, because that kind of thing is my favorite and I enjoy carrying on about it.
- I'll possibly talk about the process of writing some chapters/some notes on them, but that depends! Sometimes I have a lot to say, and sometimes I really don't, and sometimes it doesn't make a lot of sense...
- Plotting and outlining will mostly be private entries. No spoilers! I have to keep people reading somehow. =P
- Extras! I'm hoping to share my Imperial Guard playlist at some point, because music makes the world go round. The song posting might be mixed in with a bit of meta about what kind of scenes I use those songs in/etc, but no dissertations or anything, don't worry.
- And since you guys are so lovely as to take an interest in this stuff, you're more than welcome to ask questions of me anytime you like. Of course, if you're asking about upcoming events, the answers will be vague, but anything else is cool. I love it so much when people take that sort of interest in my stories (makes me feel like a real writer :D) so don't hesitate.

(Oh, and for the curious - the journal name, The Gale City, refers to both Myrrh's capital, and the title of the second book. I am extremely not-creative with naming things and would have called the journal imperialguard had it not been taken already. XD)
