A good time to be a superman fan.
I fell that this year is a good time to be a superman fan. Not because of the upcoming episodes of smallville or the impending movie, but because of DC comics.
DC is in the process of releasing their lates massive crossover, rewrite all history, kill everyone off, clean house summer storyline, but this year they actually got it right. Anyone who doesn't believe me, go down to the local comic shop on 6th and walnut and pick up the seven issues of identity crisis and an 80 page comic called countdown (which costs $.99) and have a read. The are doing something new this year in that they have everything based on events that took place in the past and it is entirely a mystery. Cool, who doesn't love a good mystery, especially when batman is the star. It turns out, one of the villans raped one of the hero's wives a while ago, so they erased his memory and gave him the mental capacity of a child. At the same time, Batman found out what the heros (not superman or wonder woman, but the rest) had done, and was pissed. They then wiped Batmans mind to shut him up, basically, and now he is finding out and wondering what else they had done. That's just one of the smaller plot lines, but I think its the best. Anyway, definitely get those eight books, which I know are on sale now. Or you can just borrow my copies.
Anyway, I'm going to indy for a job intrview tomorrow, and then to Bloomington for a movie. Should be a full day.
