Home run Derby.
Normally, I'm not interested in the Tigers, except Bobby Higginson. My sister Rachel who's in a wheelchair knows him from this event for kids with disabilities, and she has his phone number and stuff. They used to even hang out. Now, he sucks and she hasn't talked to him in a couple years.
So the Detroit Tigers weren't in my list. But, hey, now that the Pistons are enjoying their offseason and the Detroit Shock have dropped to 7-8 (Pretty bad for a WNBA team who started off 4-0, huh?) I guess I have no other options.
I was watching the homerum derby last week and Pudge Rodriguez was there Representing the Tigers! Pudge is my favorite from the Tigers now, Bobby's on the injured list and will probably get traded sooner or later. The guys on the radio were saying Pudge wouldn't hit any home runs. In the first round, he had7 I think. The next round...8! He made it to the finals. His son, Ivan Derek Rodiquez was cheering him on and kind of coaching him. It makes sense, because I think Derek will be in the MLB. He was even doing the spitting thing that they do.
Pudge lost in the finals, but it was still cool. He played in the AllStar game.
Oh, speaking of Pudge, the Tigers won yesterday to Kansas City. Both Pudge and Dmitri had homeruns.
The Shock lost. What else is knew?
