Gay guhgaygay
The wave of recent blog posts about pride weekends and so on made me wonder if such things exist in Britain, so I looked it up. Naturally, there are no parades in Canterbury (public lynchings, maybe), but of course Brighton has one... and its theme this year is MUSICALS.
Not only is Brighton the gayest place in Britain, it is also now officially the coolest. I can finally realize my lifelong dream of dressing up as Annie and nobody will be able to say a damn thing - they'll just have to stand there and accept and celebrate me.
Tall Ellie has just had the brilliant idea that the entire film postgrad contingent could dress as the cast of Annie, which would basically entail a bunch of kids running around gay pride in sobering, Depression-era rags. How awesome!
Now, the question that remains is: do we somehow try to acquire a dog to play Sandy, or do we just put a collar and leash on someone and play up the whole S&M angle?
