Regarding the first link, which floats around the Internet like some kind of horrible postmodern parasite, Palahniuk likes to tell people that whenever he reads that dumb shit at his readings - which are exclusively attended by ugly people who subscribe to Suicidegirls - several people faint. This proves one of two things, both of which are true: Chuck Palahniuk is so enamoured of his talent that he must lie to convince himself that lonely, unfulfilled twentysomethings love him even more than they already do, and Chuck Palahniuk's fans are totally whimpy candy-asses. Anyone who faints during/after hearing that shit that doesn't deserve to live.
