UnderWorld Series

Since I don't have a car while I'm here at UCLA, it's hard to do anything outside of Westwood.

Westwood has nothing to do except go out to eat, go to the bars and drink, or go see a movie.

Now, as I get "free" food here on Campus due to my meal plan and as I'm not about to spend a grandeur amount of money for booze,
the only thing I really do in Westwood is go see movies in the theaters.  I watch the trailers for upcoming releases and a way to "motivate me" per say in regards to finishing up school work, is to plan movie nights with friends and roommates.

This Friday is the release of "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans."

Now, the only reason this movie seemed at all appealing, at first, is because Bill Nighy stars in it as "Viktor."

Bill Nighy is an AWESOME actor and you may know him from playing Billy Mack in Love Actually ( he's the ex-heroin addict singer who sings that Christmas song). Or you may have seen him in Valkyrie. He has also played Viktor for the other two Underworld movies.

Personally, I am a huge fan of Bill Nighy and any movie featuring him, I'm willing to see.

Now, prior to today, I hadn't seen Underworld. I've seen clips on TV but I never sat down to watch the whole movie through. Underworld, being the first movie released. People had told me "Oh It's bad" but upon finishing it, I don't see how this is possible. For a movie in a series, and the fist movie released in the series, it was really good. There were no plot problems, I could understand each characters' motives, the acting was pretty good. I guess people generally don't like Vampire movies, not saying it's something I look for in my movie searches but it's not an aspect that will drive me away. I thought the whole "Vampire verses Lycan" world was well thought out and I really enjoyed watching the first movie. If you haven't seen it, I say give it a chance.

I'm determined to watch the Underworld Evolution before I see the "rise of the LYcans" which actually is a prequel so if I were to watch it in order, I suppose I'd watch Rise of the Lycans first but whatev.

If anyone wants to see it, I would like to go see it on opening day (Friday). I'm praying one of the theaters in Westwood will show it! (The theaters out here have only one movie per theater, it's kinda weird).

That's all.

OH, Obama's speech caused goosebumps! My favorite part: "We will extend a hand so long as (other countries) they unclench their fist"

Unclench their fist=IRAN

ohhh my half-peoplezies
