I'll wait for you, but I can't wait forever.

So, Brandon and I are back from vacation. It was a really fun time, and all the stuff we did in Philadelphia was great. But for now, I'm going to wait to explain everything until I get my pictures developed and post them in here. It would be pointless for me to just list the things we did. For the most part, though, the best part of vacation was getting a break. It is true what they say though: It's always good to go on vacation, but it's even better to come back.

I bought the new Taking Back Sunday CD. It's pretty good, but the coolest part about it was that it came with this demo CD of these other bands: Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Bayside, and Atreyu. I really like all of those bands. I'm not sure if I'd buy the Atreyu CD, but we got the Hawthorne Heights CD, and I'm planning on getting the other two sometime soon. My dad gave me $20 for doing his laundry, so maybe I'll do that today.

What I was getting to was this... everytime I listen to the song "Niki FM" by Hawthorne Heights, there's a part that says "I'm outside of your window with my radio." It reminded Brandon and I of that movie with John Cusack called "Say Anything" when he's standing outside of the girl's house holding this radio. I finally found the pic:

It's a really good band and song. If you like that sort of thing, download it. "Ohio is for Lovers" is also a good one.

In other news, while I was on vacation, I got a call from Mike Brady, the owner of Brady's Restaurant. I don't know if any of you know where Brady's is, but it's like 20 minutes away from here, past Bear Rocks. He said to call back when I got home from vacation, and I did. So now, I have an interview with them on Wednesday at 2. I'd love to waitress there because they also do banquets and stuff, so it would be good money. But then again, it's 20 minutes away and I don't know how hard it would be to get up 3 mile hill in the winter. I could make minimum wage at BP, and the distance is walkable, but I don't know. Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed.

Also, I got around to answering all those political comments in my last entry and the one before that. Again- Alicia stands unmatched! And oh yeah- I still rule.

I haven't talked to Caleb in a very long time, and his last journal entry said that his dad got a new job and that their family is moving. I'm sort of worried about how he's doing. He's going to Point Park, so maybe he'll have some classes with Brandon's King's girlfriend Bridgett. (When we went to pick up his check the other day, Bridgett had put a new Thursday sticker on her car... what an ass). Anyways though, Caleb called me today, but I missed the call. I had to take my dad out to my grandma's house (my first driving-on-the-turnpike experience). I did pretty well, but I don't like the turnpike at all. They raised their prices. Bitches.

Yay for my new knee-length H&M leopard print coat and matching Old Navy leopard ballet slippers!

I saw Alex Yuhouse at her new job at Charlotte Russe Saturday night. I miss her working at Kaufmann's so I could get her employee discount. I guess at Russe, she has to let the managers know if there are any customers in the store that she knows. And she wasn't even allowed to check me out. I bought one of those cliche heart necklaces and matching bracelet thinking it was 2 for $8. You know the ones with the little stick-that-goes-through-the-circle clasp? It came to $11 and some change, but I like it. I don't wear much jewelry.

Also, I went to Brandon's orientation at CalU with him. Everyone else brought their parents, so I felt sort of like an ass. I saw Charlie Wigle there though. And he brought his girlfriend, so I didn't feel quite as assy (sp?). Brandon got stuck with a shitty schedule and shitty classes at first, but then he got everything worked out. He goes Monday and Friday from 12-5, and Wednesday from 10-5. I think this is going to work out good for him (doesn't have to wake up early and he gets 2 breaks in between to do homework) and for me (I can come home from school and do homework, then see him afterwards). I think his classes are: First year seminar, economics, citizenship, intro to music, composition, online math and chemistry. I guess that's cool and all, but I gotta worry about kicking some kind of ass in school this year. Ha, maybe I'll consider showing up once in awhile :)

Complaint of the day: I woke up at 8 in the morning with the sudden urge to get on here and do my taxes. No clue what that was all about, but I heard that new Jessica Simpson song on MTV. It's a cover of Robbie Williams' song "Angels". It's actually a pretty good song, but she changed this one part and it's so grammatically incorrect that I can't believe no one has caught it yet. The original words went "And through it all, she offers me protection." Jessica changed it to "They offers me protection." They offers? WTF? Anyways, it's no matter to me. I hate Jessica and Ashlee even more. (Hence my wonderful, new, homemade LJ icon)

I think that's all the torture I should put my readers through today. Later on.
