How do you tell a man that you're pregnant when all he was to you was a hook up? For fuck's sake you'd only slept with him once! A smokey bar, a little to much booze and you were suddenly tumbling into bed with him. The sex was good, great really and you had wanted it. Bad. If you'd known this was gonna happen though, you would have just left well enough alone. You didn't even remember his name, if you'd known it at all to begin with. All you had was a scribbled number on the back of a Panda Express receipt that the man had forced into your hand with a mumbled "Call me." before he had fallen back asleep that awkward morning.
Hoping like hell that that scrap of paper was on the bathroom counter where you'd emptied your pockets a little more than two months ago. You walked to the bathroom digging through the loose change and receipts until you found the one you needed. There was no name but the number was there. You were suddenly so grateful that you hadn't just tossed it like you had intended to do in the beginning.
All you had to do was pick up the phone and call... But was it really that easy?
