Face-plant!
In the end, I'm mad that I didn't stop her.
I walked into the second karaoke room here at GC an hour ago and saw a girl on the floor. I was trying to suss out what was happening when she got up and the audience cheered. Guess she fell over singing "Oh, So Quiet!" She got up and stood in front of the monitor precariously and I thought to myself, "She is going to go right through that TV...I should probably stop her." But I didn't wanna interrupt, having just entered the room.
A second later, she fell over like a tree...face first into the ground. I ran towards her. Her shoulder clipped the TV and it fell a moment after. I ran towards that, too. Too late for both.
They called an ambulance as she was disoriented and possibly concussed. I picked up the monitor, which was cracked, but still working. Turned out, when we checked later on, it has a funky red halo around the screen now. Kinda cool.
By the time the paramedics came (As Amanda Rose said, "Whenever you call an ambulance, you get two fire trucks instead," which is exactly what happened), she was talking and lucid...and more embarrassed than anything. Poor girl...it was her birthday tonight, too. Nothing more than a cut on her nose, at least. Dunno what more, as we never saw her again.
I should have been faster. Suck.
