This past weekend was kind of a waste. I think I was just beaten down from the hectic work week and didn't have the stamina to do much of anything.
S met us at Red Robin for dinner on Friday night, and then came over for a few hours of Super Smash Bros. and No More Heroes.
Saturday I had a massive migraine, but still managed to put in a few hours playing WoW. I went to the Caverns of Time for the first time and returned to Old Hillsbrad. Getting to the dungeon reminded me of a dark Disneyland ride, with everyone on dragons flying through the cave, and interesting things to look at all around. My character made it to level 66.
Lately I've been messing around with Crackdown on the 360. I got it when it first came out, and enjoyed it, but somehow it got lost in the shuffle. Saturday night I climbed to the top of the Agency Tower which was no small accomplishment! I had several moments of vertigo. It was one of the most intense and enjoyable moments I've ever experienced in a videogame. Getting down was a rush too - I base-jumped for miles into the lake below.
S came over again on Sunday. We spent most of the day playing Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal on the 360. It's an atrociously buggy game, but the 3D cinematics between levels were engaging enough that I wanted to keep playing to see more. Thank god for Gamefly.
We watched TMNT afterwards (the CG one) and enjoyed it, although I wonder if that wasn't partly because our expectations were so low from playing that videogames for hours.
