Considering LJ's xtra-speshul wonkiness lately, I was just wondering if you'd been consigned to the disappeared land.

For the record, are we talking about wonkiness in the sense that I've just discovered, through a timely comment from witchqueen, that my fucking tags don't work? I mean, the functionality kind of wonkiness? Or is there some major "I'm leaving fandom and taking my porn and you SUCK NYAH NYAH NYAH" wonkiness that's driving people to take up pig milking and all-natural manure farming to fill the time void left by fandom's departure?

But, in any case, it wasn't LJ wonkiness, although I'm not too thrilled about the tags. (This leaves me with the choice of: 1) Fixing all thirty thousand of them, in the full knowledge that there's a 50% chance LJ will fix the original problem next week, and do it in a way that renders my own hand-fixing not just irrelevant but actually problematic, so that I'll have to undo it again, and 2) Not fixing it, in the full knowledge that, OK, yes, they might fix it next week, but there's a 50% chance they won't fix it until next year. I'm not in love with either of these choices, although it's likely going to have to be 1; I actually use those damned tags.) It was RL wonkiness.

*prods RL with a pointy stick*

Out of curiosity, how'd you break your DS mojo? Wondering in part because in a display of delightful timing, my SGA mojo (just the fic, not the show) is so very busted. First time that's ever happened, and now you've got me worried that it's not temporary.

I'll show you mine if you show me yours, but only in email (deepbluesea at postmark dot net). Because, you know, some things are better not trotted out in full view of the public. (I would like to know how yours got broken, though, because I'm worried that the same thing will happen to me. I can't have two fandoms broken at the same time!)

But, fear not - in my experience, broken mojo left abed mends itself. I've had one previous episode like this; my TS mojo was broken. (And note use of the passive voice there, because the dS thing was all my fault, but the TS thing was pretty much not.) I left it alone and it eventually came back. I expect dS will do that same. This isn't like when someone who is into a given canon has a final, spectacular meltdown over canon horrors (examples I've heard, but have not experienced personally: last two seasons of Buffy, the current or upcoming season of SV (not sure which), the dS Ray Wars) - when that happens, that person's relationship with the canon has ruptured, and probably for good and all. With fic, fortunately, it heals.

Oh yeah, meant the LJ tech infrasturcture being asshatish. Tags. Disappearing-reappearing comments. Posts gone missing. The usual, just all at once.

Anyway, gotta run, but will e-mail (figured you'd want to do it that way).
