[back on our feet again. He cracks his knuckles a bit.]
Alright. Let's talk somewhat domestic, kids.
First of all, in general: we've got a few groups working on things like construction, food, electricity, plumbing. Anyone have any status updates on those? If we need more builders or supply runners or anything, we should address it. Some people have been here going on two or three years now, and it's getting better, but we're still operating on the minimum of essentials here. I'd like things to keep working as intended. We get knocked down by things like earthquakes and fires and shit - but that's life. It sucks ass, and all we can do is keep working on it.
Secondly...I know that the Horton Watch is still going strong in my building, but what about jurisdiction and shit in the other apartments? I'm sure Gohl's doing fine and they don't need our help - if they did, of course, they could just, you know. Whisper it in our ears and we'd toss them whatever they needed - and I heard Rosalyn had a Latimir Heroes Club, but she's left and

[ Fuuka was sitting towards the back, minding her business, listening to everything-oh. Oh. Electricity. She should... say something here, right? Unless someone else did, first?
It took her a significant amount of willpower, but she stood up from her seat and raised a hand slowly. Talking over the network was different than speaking in a room filled with actual people. Her voice is a little wavery: ]
U - um. Dr. Freeman has been... well, we've all been working to get electricity restored... The goal is to have the high school and all three major apartment buildings... first, we're going to get the school and Latimir up, by fixing up the generators; t-then, make wind turbines? I think?
[ Deep breath. ] W- we have all the supplies gathered, and are working on the school already. If everything goes well, the high school and Latimir will have power again by the end of the month...
[ Deep breath. Was that it? Was that all? Fuuka sat back down again very quickly. ]
I like the idea of wind turbines. Even if the weather isn't always conducive to it, they could just as easily be kept going by use of powers, too. [ His own included, if his chip weren't in, but he's pretty sure he can't be the only one with wind powers in a group this big. ]
[ Was she supposed to answer that? Fuuka decided yes, standing back up. Small as she was, it probably made no difference in visibility. ]
We were also thinking about getting the hydroelectric plant running... But, that's beyond our current abilities, and there are too many monsters. There are some solar panels someone built a while ago... so I guess it's that and wind.
The more options we have, the better, though of course I don't think we should focus on more than one at a time, since it's quite a bit of work. But I do think wind would be the best option after fixing the existing generators, since it's something one -- or more of us, I'd think, but I don't know what everyone here can and can't do -- should be able to power ourselves if it becomes necessary.
[ Honestly, most of this stuff was beyond her. Sure, she was good at computers, and could help with Aigis' maintenance in a pinch, but she wasn't an engineer or electrician by any means. So she just nodded in reply. She was the spokesman for the project, not the expert. ]
For now, we're just trying to get power and heat back up. When we've finished with that, we're definitely going to figure out something that'll last through more earthquakes-or, anything else.
[ She's a little worried about the scope of it, too... but, she's not an engineer or anything, she doesn't know. She speaks nervously, but gets more confident as she goes: ]
Hopefully, by the end of the month Latimir and the High School will be fixed up with basic power. From there we'll work on getting more stable systems in place... And, repairing and setting up systems in Horton and Marshall.
We spent most of August getting together basic supplies, so we're okay for this, but we'll probably have to start all over against in September. I'll-or Dr. Freeman-will announce it the second power is up, but I guess it'll be around the 28th at the earliest. Probably a little later.

[After looking around him to make sure no-one else was getting up, Kazuki stands. Hesitantly, of course, he's not really the authority on something like this he's just the music guy! but he feels that if no-one's saying it, he might as well.]
I, uh. [Glup. This is intimidating.] I think that...
For natural disasters, or just... Bad Discedo stuff, we should have a something like a recovery team! To clean out rubble, and fix broken stuff, and help people who need it. Make sure everyone has what they need during emergencies, yeah?
I was thinking about it because of the earthquakes, and the ash, and then the snow, it's really like a miracle most of us were able to keep going at least somewhat like normal. What if we ran out of supplies, or not everyone had somewhere to stay?
So...We should have a team that could help... Ensure everyone's comfort. 'Cause then people would be happier, and then everything would run smoother...
[Running out of his intial confidence, he looks around a little for approval, and then nods his head in a sort

[Blink. Blink. BLINK.]
[Responsibility? Him? Really? He had the band, and his job, and lessons. But during disasters, it's not like any of that could happen anyway... And that was always when he felt most useless. This really could be the way he could help, that he'd been searching for.]

Just letting everyone know that I will be effectively returning to my engineering work as soon as I'm moved back into my lab.
Of course, my list of projects has up and walked off. Anyone want to remind me of what needs working on besides what Mr. Freeman and his crew are doing?

Wind turbines?
[that sounds...ambitious, but okay.]
Do you guys need anything? What's the ETA for the generators?
