Bad day
I'm not getting a lot of studying done. I'm surfing the internet for Timo's last Christmas/birthday gift because I know that I can save a lot of money. Normally I like to shop locally, but the internet feeds my procrastination addiction. If I memorize 3-4 chapters a day, I can do this. Maybe.
I also tried uploading the latest photo shoot from this weekend onto the laptop. I'm currently in the process of purchasing Photoshop 4 for the desktop, so all of the photo editing has to go through the laptop which has Photoshop 3. Except it didn't work. I got an error message. I can't tell if it is the Canon software, the laptop, the firewire cable, the camera, or the memory cards. I tried it with both cards and got the error with both, but I don't think both cards from the shoot would be corrupted. My guess is that the laptop is old and that putting the pictures on the new computer might be an option.
So, I spent a solid hour hunting around for the Canon discs that came with my camera so I could try loading the software onto the iMac. And came up empty handed. I did find several items I had been missing since we moved in 6 months ago: my "commie" hat as Tim calls it, a brand new belt as yet unworn, Christmas gift tags, old insurance exam notes, pictures I want to scan, yet another undeveloped roll of film from my Holga, and a rice bag that is essential for winter. I also found the firewire cable that came with the discs, BUT NO DISCS. Sigh.
Timo will be sent down to basement to search down there. The drama queen inside doesn't have the heart.
