(no subject)
A friend recently declared that the tenth of every month would be the Tenth of Awesome, wherein everybody names things that are awesome! Mostly things I guess other people wouldn't particularly be aware of as a way of sharing?
So I couldn't think of anything particularly awesome to share at first, at least not anything that isn't common knowledge (HEY GUYS HAVE YOU HEARD OF DAVID BOWIE? I DUNNO IF YOU HEARD OF HIM HE'S LIKE THIS BRITISH GUY WHO SINGS AND ALSO WAS IN SOME MOVIES), but then I thought of something!
Whisker Kiss is this Canadian folk-ish rockin' sorta group. I wish I had a better place to link to, or maybe to some of their songs directly, but that MySpace will have to do. They're not huge or anything, but they damn well should be, they've got a great sound. There's a few friends I'm sure would love it. I highly recommend giving 'em a listen, at least! My particular favorite is Quarry.
I'm actually internet friends with the accordian/synth player Courtenay (she's the girl), introduced by my good friend Greg a looong time ago. Unfortunately, I haven't talked to her in years, actually, but that's pretty understandable she is busy as hell with makin' music and getting married and SCIENCE.
Anyways! I meant for today to be a productive day, but I have yet to do ANYTHING I intended to. Following a peanut butta n' jelly sandwich, I'm gonna get on that.
