The school must've stopped it's weather-policy, where they call every student's home on a snow day to tell them not to come in. Usually the call comes at 6:30 or so, so there's still time to stay in your pajamas and sleep in. Today, however, we received no call. So we got up, got ready to go to school, peeked out the window to see where our forecasted 4-6 inches of snow went... and saw two inches of snow. Two inches! To quote, that's like winning ten cents in the lottery!
So Cath wakes me up at 7:10, and we both hurriedly throw on our clothes. Lots of 'em, cause "snow" means "walking home through the snow". We rushed down to The Cave to pack our backpacks, and to check the school webpage to see if they had anything on the snow day whatsoever. Nothing. So we keep packing. Then head outside, to see Mom shoveling the driveway. It wasn't snowing anymore: it was sleeting. It's impossible for them NOT to close school when it's /sleeting/ over now-three-inch-snow. So we head back downstairs and check the school district webpage - where they clearly state that all school is cancelled. WTF!
I can't go back to sleep now because I'm so excited about getting a snow day. XD;
