Sure. I would do that if it weren't for just two minor drawbacks:

1 - I'd like to get my books BEFORE the final exam.
2 - I won't have the money until the 18th, so even if I got them on the 19th I would still have catching up to do.

I guess that's only one drawback. The drawback is time. I don't have the time (or money) to go searching online for something cheaper. If I order from Amazon, it will either get here a month later or I will pay twice as much in shipping. Sorry but that kind of thinking only works if you have the resources to purchase books in late July or early August.

Well, I got my Romantic Music History book by ordering Sept 1st and it was here Sept 6th. Granted, that was a new copy direct from Amazon. The anthology I ordered off the marketplace isn't here yet, but I expect it will be soon.

Of course, at Acadia, you only have like a week's worth of notice anyway, so you can't order that far ahead of time :P

But, if you don't have any money anyway, aren't you just screwed?

Early in February 2007, I bought a sign language (level 2) book from Amazon. It finally got to me around April 10, 2007. They aren't reliable enough to depend upon.

However, I am in Toronto. There is another option that you didn't even think about.

World's Biggest Bookstore

Well, you do have to pay attention to if it's in stock and when it will ship. Which they list for each item.

Still, that option of

Damn fascist weblinks being so bloody long.

It was supposed to be a link to a map to the World's Biggest Bookstore, located in downtown Toronto. It's great. It is run by Chapters/Indigo/Coles. It has a big section for text books and is usually $15-30 cheaper on them. Normal books tend to be 5-10 dollars less than you would get them at a university bookstore.

Nope. Did you consider that perhaps you're copying a link to an instance specific to your computer, that wouldn't work for anyone else who doesn't have the same cookie or ip?

The thought did occur to me, but then I realized that I got the link by using Google. So, anyone should be able to view the link, as it is a link I got by googling.
