LIFE: The update
It's been awhile since I said anything of substance so....here goes a try...
Item #1: LIFE
- Love my job - the day one, and the "I don't get paid" ones...
- John loves his job(s), too...
- I love my small group that I am now in. OHHHH I love it...
- I love Christmas time...and Iam not even overcommitted and extended beyond my means this year!! YAY!!
- I love the 3 churches that I am currently involved with in some form or fashion, their pastors, and the pastors' wives....
- ...so life is good!
Item #2: The Fish
- We have lots going on in 2006. I really need to get that Board meeting scheduled, but I don't want to stress my staff out any more than they currently are, so I'll wait until finals pass...but then I just know that God is opening new doors for us, and we are going to grow, grow, grow...
- I am praying for the perfect new staff members...OH we need them...
- I am praying for the money part...UGH I hate money...
Item #3: Things which suck
- I do what I do not wish to do, and what I want to do, I do not do...grrrrrr
- I am such a Martha. I could be worried and upset until I went catatonic...get this away from me...
- CHARGE CONFERENCE. I will shorten my vent about this into several phrases..."Some people love to hear themselves talk," "Some people shouldn't be in positions of spiritual authority when they have no spiritual integrity," and "If we are to keep fasting between us and God, then isn't a show of hands on 'who wants to fast' a little bit inappropriate?!?!?!?" But I know how critical, bitter, and bitchy I am about the Methodist church as a whole, so I will ZIP IT past that.
Oh, and if anyone needs to know about heavy construction equipment auctions, then I am your (wo)man.
